Quantum of Solace did two things this past weekend; it sent High School Musical 3 a packing, and it broke opening weekend records for the franchise.

Moving the latest installment of the Harry Potter series to the summer, freeing up the debut date for Solace, had to play a part in the movie’s success. The Quantum of Solace has done well over seas, where it’s brought in $252 million since its debut two weeks ago. While the movie should still hold strong over the Thanksgiving week, I’m wondering how much it will suffer when Twilight hits theaters this weekend.
