Marvel Sneak Peek: Uncanny X-Men #504

Poor, poor Scott Summers.  The dude is always being plagued by his dead loved ones returning from the grave to haunt the laser shooting hero.  The newest return-from-the-grave-to-torment-you villain?  How about the Goblin Queen (a.k.a. Madelyne Pryor)?  Her return and much more in the upcoming Uncanny X-Men #504.

It’s written by fan favorites Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction, and with art by Terry Dodson, there’s a very good chance there’s greatness inside.  And on the outside too!  Check out that awesome cover!  I smell poster in the works!

It seemed like a new start in San Francisco is just what the X-Men needed, until an old enemy from the past caught up to them. After the stunning revelation last issue, a red-headed woman from Cyclops’ past appears to have returned from the dead—is Madelyne Pryor alive?  But that’s not all: The fallout from MESSIAH COMPLEX rains down on the X-men when the footage of the Alaskan Massacre is leaked to the press! Plus, Colossus encounters an enemy from the Old Country while Angel & Beast discover a hero long thought dormant!

  1. I wasn’t too impressed with the first issue, but this book has been getting better with each issue since. Dodson’s art is a breath of fresh air, too.

  2. @ OS Perry & Josh P.

From left to right, it’s Kwannon and Psylocke (looking pre-Asian). Last I heard, Kwannon was dead. And obviously, Psylocke is now Asian and is currently reality hopping with the Exiles. I’m not sure if this is just a classic type pin-up cover, or if there’s actual meaning behind it. I wouldn’t mind seeing Kwannon again, although Betsy returning to her original, Caucasian body would be pretty odd.
