I’ve been wondering when Boom! Studios would tackle more Lovecraft titles and bring more creatures from the Cthulhu mythos to print.  The answer is December, when H.P. Lovecraft’s prose poem, Nyarlathotep is brought to life in a 32-page hard cover tome, illustrated by Chuck BB.

“I was absolutely excited to take on a Lovecraft project,” said illustrator extraordinaire Chuck BB.  “What appeals to me so much about Lovecraft’s writing is that he is able to express a level of scariness that is less about spooking you, and more about making you feel small and insignificant in an unexplored world.  Lovecraft speaks of a force that is beyond the comprehension of human beings, bigger than any religion could possibly offer, and older than time itself.”

Take the jump for a quick sneak peek of the adaptation.

Nyarlathotep will sell for $14.99.
