I know this hasnt been a super duper ambitious project and that it might end up being a tad to kiddy…But i still have high hopes for it.
I goddamn love Astroboy, The whole world and the mythology.
It appears interesting but I have my reservations. Is it Japanese with an english dub? I couldn’t find out. I’ve never really seen the original Astroboy series, I grew up with the second, and I didn’t really like the last one. Seeing as how the cartoons were all Japanese in the first place I can imagine the dialogue might have been changed when dubbed to english, but I expect dissapointment. If there was such a great market for an Astroboy film, and assuming it’s US made why didn’t the Japanese make it? I worry Hollywood looked at something popular, the Japanese said they weren’t interested, so they made their own western version, which I suspect will miss some point or another.
