Does anyone even care about this Quesada/Loeb engineered Train-wreck??!!?!

It takes a lot of stupid to derail a title as successful as “The Ultimates” yet Joe Quesada and Jeph Loeb make it look so easy.

Yeah, as much respect as I have for Jeph Loeb, this title falls into a lot of the pitfalls of the genre and very nearly forgets what the ultimate universe was originally about.

Dangit, and I really like Jeph Loeb too.

I dropped it from my pull list after Ultimates 2 wrapped, but I continued to pick up the issues out of morbid curiosity. So far, the series hasn’t made any sense and, in some ways, doesn’t even appear to be taking place in the same universe as the other Ultimates series (take Valkyrie up there, for example).

Loeb is quickly becoming the single most overrated comic author in history — and, while working alongside both Bendis and Millar, that’s quite the feat.

After the Ultimates 2’s horrble conclusion, the stupidity of the ultimate spiderman clone saga, and some arc i didn’t like about ultimate xmen (I don’t actually remember why I stopped reading that one lol) everything following up in the Ultimate Universe has seemed like a waste of time to even read. But, Ultimates 3 is pretty to look at, despite the horrible story line.

How does a 5 issue mini-series get delayed with 2-3 year lead in time? I’ll ignore the fact it’s complete and utter garbage, but the delay just boggles the mind. I heard rumours they had to do a major rewrite due to some major mistake found in the story, but can’t seem to find anything to back it up or otherwise explain this. Joe Mad get caught playing GTA4 or something?

I blame the “Sopranos” and “The Shield” for inspiring people to make us wait lengthy times for the next new episode.

However, even if it was monthly, the story so far has been really, really bad.

I would complain, but at $3 an issue, I’m happy to be spending less.

Nah, Kirk. Loeb suddenly had an epiphany that the wild n’ horny sex scene between Wolverine, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Valkyrie and the corpses of Giant Man and Scarlet Witch in the story’s conclusion may not have escaped the censor, so he has to rewrite it with a huge load of CENSORED boxes over the pages. Which, for him, is a chore.
