If you’ve been watching The Spectacular Spider-Man on the Kids’ WB! you’ve seen Flint Marko foiled time and time again by Peter Parker. This weekend, Marko gets the bump from minor league thug to major league villain.

Take the jump for a peek at the transformation that takes place this weekend.

The synopsis for “Competition”:
Peter Parker and Harry Osborn try out for the football team – and become a bit obsessed with going for the glory. Flint Marko, newly transformed into the Sandman, is out for glory too – at the expense of our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man! John Dimaggio (“Futurama,” “Kim Possible”) supplies the voice of Flint Marko/Sandman, while Dr. Otto Octavius and Norman Osborn are voiced, respectively, by Peter MacNicol (“24”) and Alan Rachins (“L.A. Law”).

As made-for-kids-but-alright-for-their-geeky-adult-parents-too cartoons go, I’m liking Spider-Man thus far. It’s not quite good enough to replace The Batman or Legion of Super-Heroes (yet), but it’s got a lot of promise and has quickly eclipsed the Teen Titans.
