Spinning out of the CBS television show Ghost Whisperer, IDW Publishing has a five issue mini-series featuring Melinda Gordon, the medium who helps ghosts cross over. The mini-series is written by Carrie Smith and Becca Smith – writers for the television show.

The comics fit in after Season 2 and before Season 3 and, as in the show, Melinda spends her days and nights helping earthbound spirits cross into the Light. But in this series Melinda gets more than she bargained for when she comes face-to-face with Osiris, Egyptian God of the Dead, who wants the souls for himself.

The Osiris line is new, but all of the major characters from the series will appear in the series.

I really hate to be rude, but I’m not sure that first cover artist has ever seen J. Love from the neck down — or, at least, not since the early days of Party of Five.

Jacin: then wait until you read the first issue – there is a significant lack of full body and waist down shots in the issue. Coincidence?
