According to Moviehole, Teresa Palmer has been offered the role of Wonder Woman in the George Miller Justice League film. This follows the rumor that Rupert Evans will be playing Superman.

Reports have this movie being all action, but with a much younger team of heroes in the early points of their careers. This has made many people wonder why not do a Teen Titans flick, but if you consider more people know Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Batman and Superman, than cyborg, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Robin, then you can kind of see the direction Warner Bros. is going.

Rumors also point to Maxwell Lord, OMACs, and the death of Barry Allen as key points in the story.

The Rupert Evans rumor has been debunked. His people in England say that he has not even auditioned.

This is gonna be a big ol’ cluster until the official word comes out. Lots f these actors purposly have rumors started to try and get their personal buzz up. They think that if they can get a groundswell of support that it will convence the movie makers to give the part to them.

I do, however, hope that the rapper Commons get the John Stewart/Green Lantern part. He was a great actor in Smoking Aces. Have never heard his music though.

Stephen, there is another Titans version in the works:

(I tried to post a link but that erased my post, I think)

July 26, 2007 – Screenwriter Mark Verheiden was at Comic-Con today to talk about his various impending projects, and of course the topic of the recently announced Teen Titans movie came up, which he is scripting. During a panel discussion, Verheiden said that he hopes the tone of the film will match that of Batman Begins and the Watchmen comic book.

Verheiden isn’t talking yet about who else will make the film’s roster, though he does confirm that there will be multiple villains in the film – and, as he told IGN exclusively after the panel had ended today, from a personal standpoint he is fond of the Marv Wolfman-George Pérez era of the comic book.

Yeah, there already is a live-action Teen Titans movie being written by Mark Verheiden. At SDCC he revealed a little (Nightwing was going to be team leader), but couldn’t say as much as he was still writing most of it. He currently produces/writes for Battlestar Galactica and he used to work on Smallville, along with writing comics, so he seems like the right guy for TT. Let’s just hope they find the right person/people for JLA.
