Of all of the Pilot Season titles being released from Top Cow, Aphrodite IX is being pulled by the publisher.
“The decision to cancel Aphrodite IX Pilot Season was a tough one,” explained Matt Hawkins, President of Top Cow, “The issue wasn’t coming together in a way that would work for Pilot Season. We didn’t want to risk delaying the voting process for Pilot Season or releasing a pilot issue we weren’t completely happy with, so the responsible thing to do was to remove it from the promotion. Fans haven’t seen the last of Aphrodite IX though.”
Pilot Season will continue with five titles; Ripclaw, Cyblade, Velocity, The Necromancer, and The Angelus.
I’m happy Top Cow isn’t giving up on Aphrodite IX, and I hope we do get to see the full issue next year.
In the mean time, check out the full color cover (not previously released) to the issue that almost was.

Can anyone tell me anything about this character other than she dressed like a naughty schoolgirl with a Nerf gun?
I dunno, but I think her name should be Aphrodite XXXVI-D based on what I see at the moment.
From the wiki:
Aphrodite IX is a strikingly beautiful self-aware android designed to “be” human in order to carry out undercover missions of infiltration and assassination. Although she has been “trained” to kill (her synthetic brain learns like an organic brain and does not require traditional programming), Aphrodite IX retains no memory of her actions; her brain is designed to experience an episode of amnesia at the end of each mission, apparently to protect her masters if not herself. This leads to ongoing confusion about what she does and for whom, exacerbated by subsequent episodes of amnesia. Although she becomes aware that she is intended as a killing machine (capable of taking out a single high security target or destroying a squad of armored government soldiers singlehandedly), she finds the idea increasingly distasteful and experiences dreams and desires like a human. This begins to undermine her morale but not her efficiency, as her conditioning takes over as her masters or survival circumstances require. When she seeks out clues to her past and true identity, she stumbles onto a conspiracy involving a secret society of cyborgs attempting to undermine the legitimate An agovernment.
that is not cool man
aphrodite IX was awesome
but also it was a little inapropriate
considering im twelve
I’m not sure that there are enough babes who handle a wide variety of guns like her out there. She really looks exciting to me tho. I have a suggestion I hope might help, how about giving her a loose leather shawl or top, the brown will go well with her green hair, and give her a slightly more serious image.
