It wasn’t a well kept secret, but it has finally been confirmed that George Miller will be directing the DC adaptation of Justice Leage of America.
While there have been rumors bouncing around in regards to a CGI or animated flick, Variety is reporting the film will be a live-action FX spectacular.
One of the reasons there is such a rush to get this film into production is to get it complete before the possible H-wood strike. Warner Bros. is still targeting the tentpole for a summer 2009 release.

Strike coming? Oh s***. The most prominent example of a major genre film rushed by the threat/outbreak of a strike was “Star Trek V: So Very Tired.”
Keep that fresh in mind as this one gets thrown in front of the cameras and possibly under a bus.
My friend, who works in a comic shop, and I were criticising the description of George Miller. It seemed ludicrous to us, as Australians, that when explaining who he was the press says “oh he directed Happy Feet”. For something like Justice League it seemed better to us that it be explained he made Mad Max (The Roadwarrior in US)
