One of the things I try not to pay too much attention to are the number of visitors to the site. But sometimes I just can’t avoid it. Take for example the total number of visitors for August 2007. In July, Major Spoilers had a huge jump in readers, more than likely due to the San Diego Comic-con. I was fairly certain it was a one month jump and the numbers would go back down again, but low and behold; August topped the month previous.

The huge increase in traffic is all thanks to you, the awesome readers of this site. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Since you all rock so hard, here’s the challenge – let’s see if we can top the visitors for August, even if it is only by one person.

Tell your friends, post links to our stories in the appropriate message boards and forums. Let’s get more of you to comment in the comments section. There have been some awesome threads of late from long time readers Brent F., Mark I., Stacy B., Baal, Josh, Brother129, the return of Salieri from his extended vacation, those crazy guys at Cardboard Monocle, and yes even a post by Tom Grice is Wrong Sir! Wrong! himself.

And make sure you tell your local comic shop. The best way this little site can grow is through word of mouth. I’ve really got to thank Collectors Pair of Dice in Salina, KS, and Gatekeeper Hobbies (be sure to mention you heard about them on Major Spoilers for a free quizzical look) in Topeka, KS. for passing the word about the site to their customers.

I started Major Spoilers as a way to get cool news, reviews, and interviews about comics and comic related industries to readers around the world. And by the looks of it, it’s working.

Thanks everyone for supporting our little (but growing) website!

Congrats on the steady growth! I come here every day for the latest news and reviews. Love the reviews in particular, they let me know what’s worth buying when I can afford it. Keep up the great work. Would love to see some more webcomic articles, so keep those coming too. Finding the good ones isn’t always the easiest thing to do! I have some suggestions if you ever need ’em…(and no, I’m not just talking about mine).

I just recently ran across your site within the last month or so (via some odd link or another) and I was immediately impressed; thus, I added it to my Favorites.

    Keep up the great work.

Stephen: Thanks for the shout out!!! Kudos to a really great site. I’ve been loving this site ever since I was googling one day and trying to find out who the heck Supernova was. Thanks for letting us comment and discuss the really important things in life…like a great comics (and the bad ones and so-so ones). I most definitely will spread the gospel.

I found this site while looking for Countdown spoilers, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The commentary on the reviews and news articles is great! I haven’t bought comics for a long, loooooooong time, but ever since I found Major Spoilers, I’m considering getting “back in the game”. If it wasn’t for this place, I wouldn’t even have known there was a Buffy Season 8 comic, or that an Angel Season 6 comic was coming up. I haven’t delved much into the Message Boards here, maybe that’s something I’ll have to check out…..

Congrats on the traffic. My favorite comic site online… ever, never been to a better comic site.
    Just my style, speed.

Speaking of trades to recommend and you’re a LSH fan, how about a modern LSH Trade that is a good jumping on point, that is pretty straight forward… all these LSH character histories, is making me want to pick up a trade.

There should be no surprise Stephen, both you and Matt continually are at the top of your game. Thanks for all your hard work, and for all the traffic you send my way. This is one of my first stops in the morning when I fire up the good ‘ol Interweb. I think the increase in traffic correlates with when you guys finally started giving Immortal Iron Fist some love. Awesome job gentlemen.

I found this site through a reference on Newsarama a few months ago. The reviews here ROCK – especially with the screen shots. I also like the fact that clicking any link doesn’t cause Madrox-style-pop-ups. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the reference! I visit Major Spoilers daily and totally love it. Funny you mention the little commenting community, because reading all of their takes is half the fun.

Great job, guys. You’ve got something really special going here.

I found the site while surfing for Brainiac 5. I found your Hero History, loved it (still do) and stayed for more. Kudos =)

    I have a game? Awesome!

Seriously, though, what Steve said, twice over, with whipped cream on it. It’s youse guys that make it fun, and we enjoy every comment and concern… So hit us with everything you got, tell your friends, wake the neighbors, but remember: this is all for fun, so no wagering!

Here’s to one more hit in September!

    Perhaps that came out wrong?

I found the link to this site a few months back when it was mentioned on ExtraLife for the first time. It was before the Hero Histories started but I didn’t leave a comment until now. I don’t know if you get international readers but you have one here from half the world away, specifically Singapore. I enjoy all your reviews, especially the Nova and Green Lantern ones. Great job guys and here’s to more readers.

You can thanks Extralife for my finding this most excellent site. I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s the reviews, I love the reviews. I wish there were more of them, but, I know two gods among men can only do so much.

Thank you for everything, especially the dictionary :)
