We all know Hulk likes to smash, but you may not have caught the little tid-bit in the Marvel second-quarter earnings report that listed Hulk Smash as the next direct-to-DVD animated project from the company.

Doctor Strange is scheduled for an August 14, 2007 release, while Teen Avengers (I’m lost on that one too) is targeted for July 2008.  Hulk Smash should arrive in October 2008.  This seems a bit odd because one would think Marvel would want to capitalize on the Hulk success as soon as possible following the Incredible Hulk movie.

I’m think Teen Avengers will be the animated counterpart of the Young Avengers.

Regardless, these direct-to-dvd Marvel animations are either mediocre or terrible.

Then why not call it Young Avengers? I think they are trying to capitalize on the success of Teen Titans.
