Way back in the day, I hated anything western. Then I sat down and watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly by Sergio Leone. Wow – suddenly The Man With No Name, and all well done westerns were super cool. And now, the Spaghetti Western character is getting his own comic.
Dynamite Entertainment has announced it has signed a deal with MGM to bring the character to the comic pages.
The new comic book series will explore the rough, western adventures of the “Man With No Name” during the time of the American Civil War (1861-1865) in the untamed Southwestern region of New Mexico. In addition to the capitalizing on the characters’ adventures featured in Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, the comic book creators will also introduce new stories as well.
Dynamite has been snatching up properties left and right and have been doing quite a good job with tiles like The Lone Ranger, Battlestar Galactica, Army of Darkness, and more. If they can do this series right, sign me up. In fact, if they could swing it, how cool would it be to have The Lone Ranger meet The Man With No Name?

I must confess I misread the title at first, and thought it indicated the Man With No Head is going to comics.
If it’s anywhere near as good as the current Jonah Hex series, I’m signed up also.
