Wow. Didn’t see this one coming. Apparently Seth Rogen, an actor who has been in nearly every Judd Apatow television and movie made, is in talks to to write and star in the big screen adaptation of The Green Hornet.
Seth Rogen, really? I just don’t see him playing an action role that George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, and Jake Gyllenhaal turned down. I’m also surprised Rogen is set to write the flick that has been mired for years in pre-production hell with people like Kevin Smith and others flirting adapting the potentially huge franchise.
The good news is Rogen has a lot of writing credits under his belt including the defunct Undeclared television series, next month’s Superbad, and the upcoming The Pineapple Express.
But as the Green Hornet? I still don’t see it, but then again, who would have thought Michael Keaton would have been able to pull off Batman?
Rogen will be at the Comicon International: San Diego next week, talking up the project.

That’s just a bizarre choice. I just can’t see him as the clean cut Green Hornet. Rogen’s also not in the right physical shape to be an action hero.
