In what appears to be another attempt to buy everything media, Disney has inked an exclusive deal with Stan Lee and his production company POW! Entertainment.
The multiyear contract calls for Lee — whose film-friendly characters include the Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Silver Surfer — to develop and produce all forms of entertainment for all Disney divisions.
I wonder if Disney actually looked at some of Stan’s productions before signing the deal; Striperella, Who Wants to be a Superhero?, and who can forget the David Hasselhoff/David S. Goyer Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD?
“Stan is considered one of the most creative and inventive forces in the industry today,” said Disney Studios chairman Dick Cook. Disney home entertainment prexy Bob Chapek was instrumental in landing the deal and will work closely with Lee on future projects.
Well if you say so…

I think Dick Cook (um, this is his real name?) clearly meant to say, “Stan is considered one of the most creative and inventive forces in the industry today… if by today, you mean forty years ago, but he was the only guy in comics any of us had ever heard of.”
You left out Nightcat.
