Warner Bros. Pictures has given the green light to a live-action adaptation of the Teen Titans with Mark Verheiden hired to write the script.

It is not known which heroes will be used, but Nightwing is said to be in the mix.

Goldsman said the tone will be consistent with such recent Warners’ comic book fare as “Batman Begins,” “Superman Returns” and the upcoming “Watchmen.”

Well WOOT! I really hope DC/Warner/Time Warner/AOL can get it together enough to create a team movie that actually works *cough*JLA-tv-pilot*cough*.

    Uh huh. With our luck, it’ll be Nightwing, Captain Carrot, Batgirl, Ace The Bathound, Robin, El Dorado, Samurai, Rima The Jungle Girl, and The Huntress.

    I will never be satisfied with DC movies until two conditions are fulfilled:

    1) Grant Morrison & Dave McKean’s ‘Arkham Asylum’ is made into a Chris Nolan Third Batman movie, taken directly from the original script;

    2) Mr. Freeze is portrayed as a cold, ruthless killer rather than a trigger-happy version of the Terminator covered in Permafrost.
