Memorial Day is a time to remember those who fell in the service of liberty, regardless of your personal politics, geographical location, or your feelings on any given world leader.  To that end, we at stately Spoilers Manor, would like to wish all y’all the best, and remember those who have gone before.  With that in mind (and with all due respect to the non-fictional soldiers), there is one character whose passing should, in my mind, be recognized today…

And to all our international Spoilerites, Happy Monday!  A Hero History is on it’s way…  Even though the U.S. Mail might have failed me, (Rain, snow, sleet, and dead of night, yes…  Finding a blue colonial in Pauline township?  Not so much.) the intarwebs have come through in fine style.  I’m not saying who it is, just that I’ve been desperately seeking issue #225 of a certain 1970’s series, and that the person in question isn’t technically a person anymore at all.  Any guessers?

The Author

Matthew Peterson

Matthew Peterson

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture!

And a nice red uniform.
