Is another comic character death just around the corner? Dynamite Entertainment sent us the covers for May’s Highlander #8 pitting Connor MacLeod against his cousin Duncan MacLeod.
Personally, I liked the first Highlander movie, and enjoyed the heck out of the Highlander television series and to see the stories continue in comic form is pretty cool. Michael Avon Oeming and Brandon Jerwa have spent time making sure the comics and movies tie in with one another, and this most recent arc explores that connection even further.
More and the four covers after the jump.
With the Kurgan dead, The Dark Quickening explores te consequences of his death an the influence of the Quickening on Connor.
“This arc is an open-and-shut story on its own, but it also ties into the bigger story we’ve been telling since issue # 0,” said Brandon Jerwa. “The first story arc was a slow burn, but the gloves are off and I’m chopping heads! Connor and Duncan, the Old West, some familiar faces, ninja assassins, evil influences and a Dark Quickening – what else do you need?”
