It was hinted that the heroes that have appeared in CW’s Smallville series should form a league or association of some type (“Like a junior lifeguard association?”). After Thursday night’s run of Smallville, viewers were treated to a preview of an upcoming episode that has Clark, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Bart Allen (Flash), and Victor Stone (Cyborg) teaming up. Take the jump to see a screen cap

We’ve been told there may be additional team ups throughout the remainder of the season, however the JLA episode is NOT a pilot for a spin-off TV show – although that would rock. The big problem of doing a team show as hinted at in the Smallville episode is the logistics and shear number of special effects that would need to be completed each week. On the other hand, the Aquaman pilot had a huge success on iTunes, prompting all sorts of speculation that the rejected pilot could become a full on series.

I can’t wait to see if this episode totally rocks (like it should), or tanks with a lame villain of the week. Given the nature of the team up, the big bad should be pretty serious for all five of the supers to get together.
