Marvel studios has inked a deal with No Equal Entertainment to develop a television series based on the company’s Moon Knight.
The show will follow soldier of fortune Marc Spector as he becomes a superhero vigilante after an encounter with the Egyptian god of vengeance and moon deity. According to a Marvel Entertainment Press Release the production will be spearheaded by No Equal Entertainment’s Larry Sugar. Sugar brings to the project over 35 years experience as a Hollywood executive and producer. His track record includes a wide array of global television series, including: “The Collector,” “Romeo,” “First Wave,” “Dead Man’s Gun,” and “So Weird.”
Yeah, I haven’t heard of any of those television shows either – we Americans are so closed off from the rest of the world. The only one that appears to have had a lot of play was the Collector a three or four season series shot in and around the Vancouver region.
This could go one of two ways. Either it will start off with a small following and grow to one of the best television shows out there (ala Buffy), or it will enjoy a small but successful run following the late late show (ala Forever Knight).
